ISTANBUL (AA) - YUNUS TÜRK- Ensari Deri Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş Chairman of the Board of Directors Muhammet Nuri Ensari stated that 41 percent of the sales were made to Asian and European countries last year, especially South Korea, Italy, India, Poland and Germany. Stating that they earned from exports, he said, “The remaining 96.5 percent of our domestic sales is made up of the demands of companies in Turkey that export abroad. Our goal is to increase our exports and turnover by 30 percent in 2022".
Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Muhammet Nuri Ensari stated that Ensari Deri was established in Çorlu in 1993 and that their first target market was Russia.
Reminding that the company has been exporting to Russia for many years, Ensari said, "We have focused on the European and Far East markets since 2006. We produce lamb fur. We produce lamb fur by importing and processing raw lamb skin from abroad. Our factory is among the few tanneries in the world with an annual leather processing capacity of one million three hundred thousand pieces.”
Emphasizing that Ensari Deri Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş will be offered to the public after the book-building process to be held on March 16-17, 2022, Ensari said, "The public offering makes a great contribution to the corporate structure of the company. It plays a major role in the discipline of all processes of the company. In our conversations with our new customers abroad, we see that the trust in a publicly traded company is much greater and that this move has increased the prestige of the company.
We believe that both our prestige abroad and our orders will increase with new customers. We felt an increase in our orders when our IPO process became known. I believe that a major increase will incur in our after the public offering".
Noting that nearly one hundred percent of raw hides were imported, Ensari said, "We import from Spain, Italy, Greece and France. In 2021, 41 percent of our sales were made to Asian and European countries, especially South Korea, Italy, India, Poland and Germany. 96.5 percent of our domestic sales consist of the demands of companies in Turkey that export abroad. Our target is to increase our exports and turnover by 30 percent in 2022.
"We are one of the companies that represent Turkey the most abroad. "
Ensari pointed out that had been serious problems in the leather sector as well as in all sectors during the pandemic period and said, "We have overcome the pandemic period with all our employees with minimum impact. For example, we never suspended operations. We did not put our employees on unpaid leave. We did not adopt the short working period; We have been working and producing non-stop."".
Ensari noted that two separate collections were generated at least twice a year, in the spring and winter periods and said, "We will have two separate collections again this year. We attach great importance to R&D. Our company has very experienced engineers in R&D and advanced technology. We have a well-equipped laboratory. We also get constant support from fashion designers of world-famous brands from abroad. We prepare our collection according to consumer trends, the expectations of our customers and fashionable colors in textiles."
Stating that they have been one of the companies that have represented Turkey the most since their establishment, Ensari said, "Of course, we have participated in foreign fairs five, six or even seven times per year over the years and represented our country in the best way possible. These efforts have resulted in developed and strong exports. For example, we attended the Lineapelle Milano Fair in Milan in February. It was quite productive for us. We also attended the PremiereVisionLeather Paris Fair twenty days before that. It was a great way to meet with world fashion designers. The fairs have started again now that the pandemic is slowing down. As Ensari Deri, we present our collections to the whole world by participating in all fairs."
"The country we export the most to is South Korea"
Noting that Turkey's share in the sector in the world is close to sixty percent, Ensari said:
"Currently, I can safely say that Turkey produces the best furry leather. Our factory is able to compete with leading companies around the world in terms of production quality and capacity. Our competitor was China. We now have an edge over our competitors in China with the work we do. Now our target is to get ahead of our competitors in Spain and Italy. We have both the power and R&D to compete with them.
There are no obstacles in this regard. What makes Spain and Italy strong is that they can get the raw leather they want very quickly. In other words, Spain uses almost 100% of its own rawhide, as does Italy. They are very strong in that regard. They have rapid access to raw materials. We are importing it after all. Our advantage is better workmanship than theirs and more underground spring waters."
Stating that 42 percent of the company's exports are to South Korea, Ensari said, " South Korea is followed by Italy, India, Poland and Germany."
Indicating that Spain is the country they import the most from, Ensari said, "Spain is our first choice because of the raw leather standard and continuity in Spain. Italy comes second, Greece is third followed by France and England."
"We will continue to represent our country proudly by achieving our goals also in 2022. "
Expressing that they have representative offices abroad, Ensari said, "Our customers abroad definitely want Ensari to have a representative in charge of the country they are. In other words, they want representatives that will go to our customers' doorsteps in all product-related processes and solve their problems, if any.
In this context, we have representations in both import and export countries to deliver the best service to our customers. For example, we choose the raw leather we buy ourselves, one by one, through our representatives. Otherwise, we cannot maintain the standard we want. We cannot achieve quality. We become concerned. We are very sensitive about this issue."
Ensari said that they started to receive more orders especially after the Paris and Milan Fairs, than ever before and said, "This shows us that we will continue to represent our country proudly by reaching our goals in 2022 with our quality products, technology, employees and publicly offered corporate identity.
